Although I do not view this matter exhaustive by any means, I would not be doing justice without addressing the following two related issues. First is Automobile Homicide. Drinking and driving is a dangerous combination. The reason that DUI is serious business is because of the potential for serious injury or even death. A DUI with injuries carries enhanced penalties. A DUI causing a death can result in a charge for Automobile Homicide.
Meanwhile, indulge me . . . as it stands at the present, DUI is the reigning champing on Capitol Hill as demonstrated by the continued attention. Meanwhile, I foresee a rising contender – Texting and Driving. Studies reveal that texting is increasingly more dangerous than Driving Under the Influence.
